Panchos & Gringos was opened in 2012 by Sergio Calderon. Originally from Atlixco Puebla, Mexico, Sergio grew up on a small farm, where he found himself jumping into the kitchen as much as he could.

After completing school in Mexico, Sergio moved to New Jersey, where he began working in restaurants & learning about business. After many years, he moved to San Antonio to be closer to family, and found himself wanting to own his own restaurant.

When Sergio saw what is now Panchos & Gringos, he fell in love. He loved the location, and wanted to make quality food that people in the neighborhood would enjoy. He prides his restaurant on making every dish from scratch & enjoys making people happy with his food.

Today, the unique diner, located in the Dignowity Hill neighborhood on the East Side on San Antonio, offers a wide variety of options for both breakfast & lunch. Choose from traditional American favorites, or our featured Mexican dishes like the Huevos Rancheros, a local favorite.
